about our team

Generations of Experience.

The best way to become a really good photographer is to take a lot of photos. We have that covered. Our CEO, our Director of Marketing, and our Field Trainer combined have 86 years of creating images which makes us all either very comfortable around cameras, or maybe just old.

Have camera “Will” travel.

Oooh, sorry for the Dad joke there. Part creative, part technogeek, Will Crockett is our director of imaging and is just as happy with a camera in his hands as he is calculating the impedance of an antenna. Although he has an impressive photo pedigree as a professional photographer for TIME and PEOPLE magazine as well as hundreds of advertising photos you probably have seen on magazine pages, book covers and even a billboard to two, Will is best known in the photo industry as the creator of the ShootSmarter.com brand of educational content as well as the “Photo Answer Guy” on WGN Radio. You may spot our fearless leader lecturing at various photo conventions across the US as he grows PortraitLink into a national brand and leader in the emerging event photomarketing space.

Laurie on Moonstone.jpg

Gramma on a mission.

Our sales and marketing director, Laurie Knotts, is a former teacher and project manager for a large church that loves being a young gramma to her five “littles”. Fascinated with technology, Laurie is constantly looking for new ways to use our imaging tools and toys to deliver results for her clients.
Making time for her five grandkids and for exploring the central coast backroads is always a priority. She’s cheery, creative, fun and that person in the office everyone likes to say good morning to.

Miss Pupaya

Everyone’s favorite photo assistant is Miss Mya “Pup” Pya who moves around pretty well for a 13 year old pooch. She is always ready for a ride in the car, walk to the park on the corner, and for meeting new clients.
